50Cent Gets Sued For Stealing....!

Uh-oh!
50 Cent has been slapped with a lawsuit by Robert Poindexter of The Persuaders, because he claims the rapper sampled a snippet of his band's song, Love Gonna Pack Up And Walk Out, without permission, for the song Redrum, and then released it on-line for free!
However, Fiddy is under the impression that because he didn't charge for the track, he does not have to abide by copyright laws!
The suit reads:
"Fifty Cents [sic] has not denied the infringement, but appears to be basing his defense solely on a frivolous and immaterial claim that the illegal version is not being commercially exploited, but is given away for free."
He's seeking an unknown amount of statutory damages and $600,000 in punitive, plus interest!
Yeesh!
That's a lot of dough for one free song!
It will be inneresting to hear if the case holds up in the courtroom!

James ibori 13 years in prison

The former governor of Delta State was sentenced to 13 years in prison at the Southwark Crown court this afternoon for laundering state funds. How many years do you think he will do?

I hear Fashanu's testimony helped his case a bit. The former international football star gave a glowing testimony in support of his friend and the judge admitted it as 'new evidence' and adjourned for almost two hours saying he had to re-write his already written sentence.

After sentencing him to 13 years, the judge said Ibori's assets would be confiscated.
